TECHNOLOGY BOOTCAMP WITH VEX
ages 8-14yrs

Program:
A Saturday camp made up of everyone’s favorite Technology Classes!
Whether you have just an hour available or the whole day, drop in, have fun and learn!
Throughout the day we offer VEX IQ Robotics, 3D Printing, Youtube creator, Game Design, and Minecraft coding. Our robotics classes will start with EV3 and continue with VexGo robotics systems.
We’ll explore the world of 3D printing with our 3D pens, and then take it into Tinkercad where we’ll create awesome original 3D prints. In Youtube Creator, we will come up with awesome video ideas, film, edit, and get our videos ready to share.
With the game design, we will use scratch to create exciting games and learn to code and create graphics for the games.
Last but not least, Minecraft! Everyone loves it and knows it’s a great game, but it’s also an amazing learning tool. With the Minecraft Education edition, we will practice coding, learn about history, math, art, architecture, and much more!
The classes are great if your kids are just starting out, or whether they’re already experienced Tech Wizards! We can’t wait to see those smiling faces light up from discovering something new!

We fill the day with fun Technology-based lessons and projects, and spend some time at the Discovery Center to test out our projects and run around!

The Renaissance Child’s STEAM and LEGO Robotics camp is a great opportunity for kids to try out our comprehensive robotics program and explore cutting-edge tech equipment.
Robotics incorporates and helps to develop critical thinking & problem solving, communication, collaboration, and creativity & innovation. Our extensive camp will give them ample time to understand these core principles.
They will require brain-storming, research, building, testing, and troubleshooting in a collaborative environment. Whether your child is new to robotics or has previous experience, all will be able to join forces and expand their knowledge in building and coding.
With the open-ended robotics challenges we prepare, kids will collaborate with each other to find solutions. We also arrange various fun and engaging art and science projects to give children a fully comprehensive experience.

VEX IQ brings Robotics and Computer Science to life for all students at all skill levels. This class gives kids a chance to design, build, and program a VEX IQ robot and then solve a series of exciting challenges while developing their skills.
Students will learn three different coding languages – Block-based, Python, and C++. Our Vex Certified Teachers will teach kids how to configure and drive a robot and develop programming skills quickly. In the fall our robotics team can participate in the VEX Robotics Competition.

Discover a one-of-a-kind camp experience for your preschooler that’s unlike anything else in the area!
Our Explorers camp offers an array of exciting activities designed to captivate and engage your curious little one. Each day your child will participate in two hands-on STEAM workshops, including science, makerspace, coding, Lego Engineering, arts, music, and more.
But the real highlight for young explorers is our pet lab, where they’ll have the opportunity to learn all about the animals at the Discovery Center and how to care for them.

- Select the desired camp session, complete the online form if you are our first time client, and pay with a credit card. Registration is complete after full payment is made.
- After registering your child please download our Summer Camp Health Form, fill it out and email it back to us at billing@therchild.com This is where you will tell us about your camper, fill out health information, emergency contacts, and other important safety data. In case your child’s pediatrician provides the Universal Health Record you can send it to us and skip health records part of the Summer Camp Health Form.
- Please email us a copy of your insurance card.
- The Renaissance Child Summer Camp Policies and Procedures.
- Failure to submit all forms to The Renaissance Child 7 days before the first day of camp will result in forfeiture of your registration fee.
FAQ
Yes, our camp programs are flexible and will be interesting both for newbies and fans in Robotics. You can come for a tour and meet our teachers before the enrollment.
Unfortunately, no. We have only weekly programs (Mon-Fri) for our summer camps. Every Monday we start new loop of education.
At THE R CHILD we offer 3 STEAM camp programs for different ages: Explorers camp for kids 3-5yrs, STEAM and Robotics camp for 5-7yrs and for 8-14yrs. Camp programs include educational methods to involve and encourage children based on their age, level of perception and needs.
