WA kids are being taught about the importance of keeping active from behind a laptop screen. That's the innovative concept being trialled by ECU researchers who've launched Skeletal Central - a video game educating teenagers about the dangers of being inactive, and potentially preventing them from becoming one of the million Australians with osteoporosis. A pleasure to see Dr Julie Boston (PhD) and Professor Amanda Devine's work come to life on 9 News!

ECU has continued its rise in the global rankings, this week jumping an impressive 19 places to rank 64th in the Times Higher Education (THE)Young University Rankings.In another major achievement, ECU also surpassed its own Strategic Plan target reaching the top 80 in THE Young University Rankings by 2026!

Just terrific to have been involved with CyberWest Summit 2024 for ECU! ECU and Thermo Fisher Scientific were thrilled to have Minister for Science and Innovation Stephen Dawson MLC officially launch WA's new GeneTitan equipment at Joondalup campus. ECU's Centre for Precision Health is now the first laboratory in Western Australia able to determine people's risk of disease by testing their DNA.
